Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Benefits

Frequently, we have clients that were injured in car accidents through no fault of their own by driver's that carried little or no car insurance. Fortunately, if you or a loved one are involved in an automobile accident where the other driver is at fault but has little or no insurance, we can look to your own policy to provide coverage for medical expense, lost wages, and pain and suffering for injuries related to the accident.
This type of coverage is known as uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage and is found in almost all automobile insurance policies. If the other driver carries little or no insurance, your own policy may pay benefits up to the amount of coverage you purchased. So, for example, if you purchased an insurance policy with $100,000 worth of bodily injury coverage and you were injured in an accident caused by an uninsured driver, we could look to your own insurance company to get up to $100,000 for the damages sustained in the motor vehicle accident.
Many people are unaware that this coverage exists, or do not fully understand how it works, and this is another great reason to contact us if you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident. We know where to look to get you the most insurance coverage possible so that you can be fairly compensated for your injuries, medical expenses, and lost time from work associated with a car accident.
Don't try and deal with the aftermath of an accident on your own. Instead, give us a call and we can help you every step of the way.
